Spiny Katydid
This Katydid jumped on me the other day as I was getting into the car. I ran inside to grab the camera and get a few shots. I remembered a week earlier I had seen a photo of one on the website of local entomologist David Rentz . I think it is known as the Silent Spiny Katydid, Phricta tortuwallina Rentz, Su and Ueshima. I will need to confirm this first before adding any more information though.
