Printing & Papers

Printing Process
Giclee (zhee-klay) prints are created using professional large-format ink-jet printers. This printing process provides accurate color & the quality of the giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide & gelatin printing techniques. Giclee prints are incredibly detailed and highly sought after in the contemporary fine art market. Many are found in museums, galleries and public collections around the world. They are beneficial to artists who do not want to mass produce their work & release very high quality collectable editions. I use this printing process to guarantee consistant quality artworks with all of the limited edition prints.

Fine Art Prints

I use the Hahnemühle Collection of Digital Fine Art Papers. Their Watercolour Paper is a high-quality, acid-free paper perfect for professional modern fine art production where colour accuracy and intricate detail are necessary. German etching and William Turner are two of their premium papers I use.

Artwork on Canvas

All of my canvas prints are printed, coated and stretched by me here in the gallery. The only exception is the very large artworks which are printed locally in Cairns at Highscan. I use a large format Epson printer in combination with archival epson chroma pigment inks and heavy duty archival canvas. Only the highest quality materials are ever used in the process to guarantee quality and longevity.

The Canvas prints are available as rolled prints with a gallery wrap on the edges or stretched over an internal frame, ready to hang. The archival canvas prints are also double coated with a high quality archival clear varnish finish. This extra layer of protection is designed to ensure the artwork stays looking good on your wall for a very long time and helps stops fading from UV light.

3. Because of the internal frame they are ready to hang, saving time and money on additional framing services
