Nightshade.

Under the canopy of the rainforest bracket fungus appear after the rains. They mirror themselves onto the wings of moths and take flight through the cover of night. Take your time to look through this image and you may notice other moths emerging out of the shadows. The more you look the more you see.

Passionflower.

There are over 5o edible species of passionfruit found in the tropical regions of the world. Two of the most common produce yellow and purple fruits high in vitamin c and delicious. Leaves from some species can also be used as a relaxant or mild sedative. This is probably the most tropical image i have ever made with a Ulysses butterfly, the Lurcher butterfly, a Green Tree Grog and a Gecko.

Quandong Song.
Limited edition of 50.
The Blue Quandong (Elaeocarpus grandees) Fruits are 15-25mm in diameter and are a well known bush food. They are the BLUE MUSICAL NOTES which litter the forest floor with their vibrant song. Flying foxes, birds, rats and cassowaries all eat them. They are often found in the big birds scats half digested as blue poo. The blue fruit contains a Hard seed which is often used to make jewellery.

As you walk through the rainforest, patches of light penetrate through the canopy and stimulate your senses. An organic scape of visual delight. Time stands still and breathing has never felt so good. Take your time to allow creatures from within the shadows to appear. Sometimes you may only catch a glimpse of movement out of the corner of your eye allowing your imagination to run wild & free as the more you look, the more you see.

Birdwing

During the wet-season the rainforest is pulsating with life as cicadas, katydids & frogs create a never ending progressive orchestra of sound-scapes. A window into the natural world. Vibrant birdwing (Ornithoptera priamus) butterflies move through the image, slowly revealing themselves as the more you look, the more you see. A summer celebration & a vivid reminder of how abundant the tropics are. The male birdwing is coloured green gold & black. The female has a wingspan of 20cm & is the largest species of butterfly found in Australia.

Limited Edition Pricing
When a certain number of fine art prints in one of my limited editions have sold the purchase price increases incrementally.This increasing scale of acquisition allows people to add to their collection of fine art with confidence. There is financial incentive to purchase a limited edition print early, when it is a new release. This is when the print numbers are small and they are most affordable.Only a small number of prints are available in each edition.
The price stays roughly the same until 50% of the prints in the edition are sold.
After this the price increases approximately by 10% for each print sold.
When 75% of an edition is sold the price goes up 20% for each additional print.
And when only a few prints remain in an edition before it is sold out the purchase price is increased dramatically.
