The waterfall frog (Litoria nannotis) is a stream-dwelling frog native to Far North Queensland. Also known as a Torrent treefrog. It reaches 5.5 cm in length ands is truly a master of disguise. The mottled splotchy pattern covering their bodies is similiar to its habitat and makes them very difficult to spot. They are normally found clinging to the granite rocks of fast flowing water and even waterfalls. Their Toe pads are very large to aid in gripping to the wet rocks. When disturbed they retreat to the crevices of the rocks or tumbles down the slippery surface and into the flowing water. They are on the endangered list.
